Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp
About The Position
USPI's East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a PRN Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp. East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland’s leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. The facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and has been ranked in the top 7 ASCs in the State of Oregon for 3 consecutive years by Newsweek. The PreOp PostOp Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times during preop and postop. This role may also involve assisting physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. The nurse will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
Responsibilities
- Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times during preop and postop.
- May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate.
