Under the direction of the Provider, Practice Manager/Supervisor and/or Service Line Director, this role coordinates general office activities and performs direct clinical care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. The Charge Nurse is the point person for questions or concerns related to patient intake, testing, ordering, medical supplies, and other clinical responsibilities. In this role, the Charge Nurse assumes responsibility for nursing care and outcomes for patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary care team. The position requires the ability to create, maintain, and support a high-functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management; and function effectively as part of that team.
