About The Position

The Charge Nurse participates in and oversees patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure. The role observes, assesses, and reports patient conditions and changes, and documents care in accordance with Cantex clinical policies and procedures and applicable state and federal guidelines. The nurse completes relevant EMR documentation, implements care plans as directed, and administers prescribed medications and treatments. The Charge Nurse also participates in assigning duties and supervises CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care to maintain each patient's highest practical well-being. This is a full-time overnight position, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., at Skilled Nursing at The Harrison at Heritage in Fort Worth, Texas.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
Valid LVN/LPN (Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse) license.

Responsibilities

Participate in and oversee patient care within the scope of LVN/LPN licensure.
Observe, assess, and report patient conditions and changes, and document in accordance with clinical policies and applicable guidelines and regulations.
Complete EMR documentation relevant to patient assessment, evaluation, and changes in condition.
Ensure implementation of care plans as directed.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
Participate in assigning duties and supervise CNA staff in delivering appropriate clinical care.
