About The Position

Windmill Village Rehabilitation and Care Center in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a motivated Charge Nurse to join its growing team. The Charge Nurse works with physicians on the evaluation and care planning of assigned residents, assesses residents and reviews their records to identify normal and abnormal findings, and completes administrative documentation related to assigned residents.

Requirements

• Hold a current nursing license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Confer with the Medical Director and attending physician regarding assigned residents.
• Consult with physicians about resident evaluations and assist the Director of Nursing with planning and developing nursing services for residents.
• Help team members grow their careers.
• Examine residents and review their records and charts to distinguish normal from abnormal findings and recognize early signs of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
• Complete administrative duties for assigned residents, including medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
