About The Position

The Charge Nurse (RN or LPN) leads shift clinical operations and provides resident care in a supportive senior-care community managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance. The role includes day and night shifts, with full-time and PRN coverage described. The nurse supervises direct care staff, administers medications and treatments, and serves as a primary clinical contact for residents, families, and attending physicians. Requirements

• Active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Strong assessment, medication administration, and emergency response capabilities.
• Dependable, approachable, and proactive leadership style with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Charge Nurse or floor nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Assisted Living, or Long-Term Care setting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee shift nursing care, ensuring resident care plans, physician orders, and facility protocols are followed.
• Administer medications, perform wound care and treatments, and monitor residents’ vital signs and clinical conditions.
• Guide, mentor, and support CNAs/STNAs during the shift and ensure daily care duties and resident assistance are completed on time.
• Document clinical changes, assessments, incidents, and shift reports in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Communicate changes in residents’ conditions to attending physicians, families, and incoming shift leadership.
