About The Position
Ridgmar Medical Lodge is seeking a motivated Charge Nurse to join its team of healthcare professionals. The nurse will serve residents and work collaboratively with clinical staff, while developing their talents under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and Assistant Directors of Nursing. The role may also support the nurse’s career growth, including the possibility of pursuing an RN career. The Charge Nurse coordinates with medical providers regarding assigned residents, supports resident evaluations and nursing-service planning, recognizes changes in residents’ health, completes administrative documentation, and helps team members develop their careers. The position is listed for the graveyard shift, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Requirements
- Hold a current nursing license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
- Care about serving residents.
- Be a team player and work collaboratively with other team members.
Responsibilities
- Confer with the Medical Director and attending physician regarding assigned residents.
- Consult with physicians concerning resident evaluations and assist the Director of Nursing with planning and developing nursing services for residents.
- Help team members grow their careers.
- Examine residents and their medical records and charts to distinguish normal from abnormal findings and recognize early signs of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
- Complete administrative duties for assigned residents, including medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting.
