About The Position

The Operations Manager oversees warehouse operations, including staffing, work planning and assignment, employee performance, coordination with other departments, cost control, and equipment reliability. The role works with a third-party vendor to maintain warehouse equipment and safeguard company assets. The position is scheduled Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Other duties may be assigned, and employees may occasionally be asked to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of warehouse work experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex warehouse operational issues.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member with senior-level staff.
• Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to handle warehouse accounting and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of electronic inventory control systems.
• Working knowledge of safety and security procedures.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and frequently climb or balance.
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruiting hourly warehouse employees.
• Plan, direct, schedule, and assign jobs for warehouse staff.
• Manage department performance by coaching, mentoring, and motivating warehouse staff.
• Coordinate warehouse work activities with other departments to improve efficiency and cohesion.
• Oversee cost-control measures to strengthen gross profit and contribution.
• Maintain warehouse equipment reliability through a third-party vendor and safeguard company assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
