About The Position
The Charge Medical Lab Scientist assists the Lab Director or Lab Manager in managing the laboratory division and serves as a resource for problem solving. Primary duties include teaching and training, communication, testing, research and development, and quality control. The position is scheduled for 36 hours per week, from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and includes working every third weekend.
Requirements
- Three years of clinical laboratory experience.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist certification by an appropriate laboratory agency is required.
- In-depth technological knowledge in the specialty area.
- A bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry and Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLT) certification, or an associate’s degree and Medical Laboratory Technician certification.
Nice To Haves
- Specialty certification is strongly encouraged.
