About The Position

The Charge Capture Specialist ensures that all billing charges are captured appropriately by identifying, analyzing, and reconciling billing errors or omissions. The role includes reviewing and posting professional charges.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of professional billing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post daily charge batches that do not require additional follow-up with providers.
• Return incomplete charges to the department for correction.
• Assist with daily and weekly reconciliation of charges as needed.
• Help monitor practice charge submission status to ensure charges are posted promptly.
• Process mobile charges and post them to the system after reviewing them for completeness.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Display a positive attitude and contribute constructively to the billing team.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
