About The Position

The Guadalupe Valley Chapter Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donor support from various sources, establishing and strengthening funding and partnership relationships, and developing fundraising and marketing campaigns. This role involves planning and supporting events, creating presentations and written materials, and representing Habitat at internal and external meetings. The Director will ensure donors receive timely information and high-quality stewardship, utilize the CRM system for relationship management, and coordinate marketing materials across multiple platforms. They will serve as the primary spokesperson for the Guadalupe Valley Chapter (GVC), ensure program implementation aligns with the organization's mission and strategic plan, and act as a liaison with homebuyers and homeowners for the family selection and homeownership program. Additionally, the Director will serve as a goodwill ambassador, liaising with other organizations and governmental representatives to promote Habitat's mission, be knowledgeable about the building process and volunteer usage, support management goals, and ensure adherence to Habitat policies and procedures. Special projects as assigned will also be a part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years experience in fundraising, donor relations, corporate relations, or business development
  • 3+ years experience managing multiple programs, projects, or accounts.
  • Experience working with individuals, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community groups
  • Goal- and team-oriented with a positive attitude and a good sense of humor
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Confident public speaker
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and perform well under pressure
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Ability to quickly learn and use donor management software
  • Be available to work Tuesday through Saturday
  • Must able to work in both the Seguin and San Antonio Offices

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of philanthropy in the Seguin area preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donor support from individuals, corporations, small and mid-sized businesses, faith groups, and civic organizations
  • Establish and strengthen new funding and partnership relationships
  • Conduct intentional outreach and maintain regular communication to build and nurture donor and sponsor relationships
  • Develop and coordinate fundraising and marketing campaigns
  • Plan, develop, and support events that raise awareness and financial support for Habitat, including annual fundraising events
  • Develop presentations and written materials to achieve individual and organizational goals
  • Represent Habitat at internal and external meetings, events, and build sites
  • Ensure donors and sponsors receive timely information and experience high-quality stewardship
  • Utilize the donor relationship management (CRM) system to track, analyze, and grow relationships with donors and prospects
  • Coordinate the design and production of marketing and communication materials across print, online, audio, video, and social media platforms
  • Serve as primary spokesperson to Guadalupe Valley Chapter (GVC) constituents, media and the general public
  • Ensure GVC programs and activities are implemented in accordance with organization mission and strategic plan
  • Liaison with GVC homebuyers and homeowners to implement an effective family selection process and homeownership program in collaboration with the family services department
  • Act as goodwill ambassador and liaison with other organizations and governmental representatives to increase awareness of and participation in Habitat’s mission and objectives.
  • Be knowledgeable about the building process and effective volunteer usage.
  • Support Habitat ideals and mission through participation in and support of the management team’s goals, objectives, and decisions. And communicate those ideals to others in a positive manner.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Habitat policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate Special Projects as assigned.
