Chaplains are frontline staff who fulfill MCHAP’s mission and Christian ministry by using their gifts and talents to serve company employees and their immediate families. This part-time position is based in Taunton, Massachusetts. Assigned hours are generally consistent from week to week, but there are no guaranteed minimum hours; positional needs vary depending on chaplain availability and client requirements. The Chaplain serves as a messenger of faith, mission, and purpose, and interacts with companies, employees, and the community in a manner that reflects personal and spiritual discipline. The role includes regular worksite visits, pastoral care and support for employees and their immediate families, referrals to specialized assistance, and support during illness, emergencies, bereavement, and other personal or family difficulties. The Chaplain also participates in employee orientation and may provide other services requested by company leadership, with Executive Director of Operations permission and within the scope of the relevant Letter of Agreement. This is a remote, field-based position. Work environments depend on client worksites and may include manufacturing facilities, hospitals, office buildings, and funeral homes, with varying temperature, noise, and light exposure. A pre-employment background check is required.
