About The Position

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Chaplain for our Spiritual Care department at Baptist Beaches. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity. The Chaplain will provide pastoral care and counseling, offer religious resources, and support groups for team members, patients, patient’s families, hospital staff and physicians by developing efficient follow-up support plans. The chaplain will respond to referrals from nurses, physicians, and local clergy while assisting and collaborating with pastoral care staff, residents, students, and volunteers.

Requirements

• Master's Degree required
• 1-2 years Ministry Experience
• 4 CPE units required
• Ordained or Licensed Minister
• 1-2 years Ministry Experience Required

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate Degree Preferred
• Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides evidence based, expert spiritual care to patients and their loved ones including spiritual assessment, interventions and monitoring of outcomes as a fully integrated member of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provides spiritual and emotional support to Baptist Health team members through daily rounding, group and individual support and Spiritual Care Departmental programs
• Under the direction of the Spiritual Care Administration, collaborates with hospital staff including, lead chaplains, community clergy, and hospital team members.
