About The Position

Paychex is hiring a Channel Sales Associate to help small businesses with 1–99 employees manage payroll, HR, benefits, and compliance. The role focuses on building relationships with bank referral partners and existing clients, generating new business through referrals and outbound outreach, and selling a full suite of workforce solutions. Associates manage a fast-paced sales cycle, typically 1–2 weeks, and own the sales process from prospecting through closing. The position is intended for early-career sales professionals who are comfortable with high activity, transactional sales, and working toward goals. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant sales or marketing role.
• Experience working toward goals or quotas in sales or a similar environment.
• Demonstrated leadership experience through work, school, nonprofits, clubs, or other organizations.
• Comfort with high activity, fast sales cycles, and transactional deal sizes.
• Resilience, drive, and competitive motivation.
• Coachability and the ability to quickly apply feedback.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through referral partners and outbound outreach.
• Build relationships with bankers and existing clients to drive new customer acquisitions.
• Complete high-volume daily sales activity, including calls, follow-ups, and partner touchpoints, to build a pipeline.
• Sell payroll, HR, benefits, retirement, and compliance solutions.
• Manage sales cycles typically lasting 1–2 weeks with small business owners.
• Own the sales process from prospecting through closing deals.
