About The Position

9amHealth is seeking a Channel Marketing Specialist to manage and scale member engagement through email and lifecycle marketing. This role is crucial for driving enrollment, activation, and retention by executing highly targeted, data-driven campaigns. The specialist will collaborate with Marketing, Communications, and Product teams to ensure timely and relevant communication to members, continuously improving campaign performance through testing, segmentation, and automation. Email and lifecycle marketing are identified as key drivers for member enrollment, engagement, and retention. This position requires technical expertise in campaign execution and a strategic approach to enhancing engagement and conversion.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or CRM marketing.
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Customer.io, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and customer journeys.
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance and making data-driven decisions.
  • Comfortable running A/B tests and translating results into actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills across Marketing, Product, and Design.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with direct mail or multi-channel campaign integration.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, digital health, or regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting enrollment or member/customer engagement programs.

Responsibilities

  • Own and scale email and lifecycle marketing campaigns.
  • Build, launch, and optimize email campaigns using platforms like HubSpot and/or Customer.io.
  • Develop and manage automated lifecycle journeys for acquisition, onboarding, and retention.
  • Execute both one-off campaigns and ongoing nurture flows.
  • Create advanced audience segmentation strategies for improved targeting and relevance.
  • Refine messaging based on member behavior, lifecycle stage, and engagement data.
  • Track and report on campaign performance, including open rates, CTR, conversion, and engagement.
  • Conduct A/B tests and utilize data to enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Support forecasting and performance reporting for marketing and leadership.
  • Partner with Design and Communications to ensure cohesive member experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing on the communications calendar and member touchpoints.
  • Incorporate direct mail and other channels for integrated campaigns.
  • Propose and execute new campaign ideas, including evergreen and seasonal initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for engagement, conversion, and retention improvements through new channels or approaches.
