About The Position

The Changeover Crew is an on-call, per-event team member responsible for room sets and arena conversions at Chaifetz Arena. The role supports the physical setup and teardown of event spaces and equipment for sporting and live events, as well as related cleaning, grounds maintenance, and repairs. The position pays $16.00–$18.00 per hour and will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Previous experience with changeovers at arenas or stadiums is preferred.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Must be able to lift heavy objects often.
Must be able to work in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities

Physically set up arena areas with chairs, tables, staging, furnishings, and equipment for sporting and live events.
Store, clean, and maintain changeover equipment and care for arena property.
Respond to and resolve setup issues promptly as directed by staff and management.
Participate in all aspects of the event conversion process.
Set up and tear down flooring, hockey glass, chairs, barricades, staging, tables, furnishings, and other equipment.
Respond to promoters’ and clients’ needs as directed by the onsite building manager.
Assist with pre- and post-event cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and carpet cleaning.
Maintain outside grounds, including parking areas, entrances, and the event plaza.
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, such as painting and patching, and maintain conversion-related operational equipment.
Maintain effective working relationships with other departments, clients, and patrons.
Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
Perform other duties as assigned.
