About The Position

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Challenger 650 crew member for an operation at KEDC airport. The role is responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 650 and for conducting flights prudently and in compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations. Duties include reviewing aircraft maintenance status; completing pre-flight inspections according to the approved Aircraft Flight Manual; checking weather and facilities along the route and at destination and alternate airports; ensuring the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew; and accurately completing trip paperwork.

Requirements

• 3,000 hours total flight time.
• 1,500 hours PIC.
• 1,500 hours MEL.
• 500 hours MEL PIC.
• 500 hours in Turbo Jet.
• 250 hours instrument time.
• Type rating on the Challenger 650 or a comparable aircraft.
• First-class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KEDC, or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Challenger 650 safely.
• Conduct flights in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with applicable requirements and procedures.
• Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
• Conduct pre-flight inspections in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along the planned route and at airports to be used, including alternate airports.
• Ensure flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Complete trip paperwork accurately and in accordance with current procedures.
