About The Position

Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Challenger 650 Captain for an operation at KEDC airport. The role calls for a standout colleague committed to excellence and working with a team that safely and expertly meets clients’ travel needs while adhering to Solairus’ culture of safety, service, and integrity.

The Captain is responsible for safe operation of the Challenger 650 and for conducting flights prudently in accordance with applicable procedures, Solairus policies, and Federal Aviation Regulations. The Captain must be available on an on-call basis, complete annual ICAO international procedures training, and live within a two-hour drive of KEDC or be willing to relocate.

Requirements

• 3,000 total flight hours.
• 1,500 PIC hours.
• 1,500 MEL hours.
• 500 MEL PIC hours.
• 500 hours in turbojet aircraft.
• 250 instrument hours.
• Type rating on the Challenger 650 or a comparable aircraft.
• First-class medical certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Ability to complete ICAO international procedures training annually.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KEDC or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Challenger 650 safely.
• Review the aircraft’s maintenance status.
• Conduct a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Check weather and facilities along the route and at planned and alternate airports.
• Conduct flights in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew.
• Complete trip paperwork accurately and in accordance with current procedures.
