CFD Engineer - AI Trainer

About The Position

Help train and evaluate AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will work with CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks for agent results. This is a freelance opportunity that is fully remote and allows contributors to work on their own schedule. During active project phases, tasks are estimated to require around 10–20 hours per week; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload. Contributors can earn up to $19 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies across projects. The platform also offers performance-based bonus programs rewarding high-quality work and consistent delivery.

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field such as energy or oil & gas.
• Several years of hands-on industry or research CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX, or STAR-CCM+, including meshing.
• Solid verification and validation practice, including mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks.
• Comfort with Python and GitHub.
• English proficiency at B2 level or above.

Nice To Haves

• A PhD.
• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore, or turbomachinery.
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flow.
