Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in fire alarm systems, special hazards, and addressable panel programming.
  • Valid CFAA Registration (required) or Journeyman Electrician with strong fire alarm experience.
  • Working knowledge of applicable NFPA, ULC, and fire codes.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and laptops in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to obtain required site clearances (background check, drug & alcohol testing, references).
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing hands-on technical work.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with CAN/ULC-S536 and applicable fire codes; document deficiencies and corrective actions.
  • Verify and commission newly installed fire alarm systems (including associated panels); complete verification reports and program addressable systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on fire alarm, fire suppression, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Maintain accurate, code-compliant records of inspections, testing, impairments, and repairs in line with Levitt ISO standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and support project execution in collaboration with design and project management teams.
  • Participate in after-hours and on-call rotation as required.
  • Contribute to Health & Safety initiatives, including JHAs and Safe Work Practices.
  • Represent Levitt-Safety professionally on-site, supporting customer safety needs.
