About The Position
Centurion is seeking a Full-time Certified Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team at Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI) in Westover, Maryland. The RN will be responsible for assessing various types of wounds including deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, severe burns, pressure injuries, bedsores, and diabetic foot wounds. This role involves close collaboration with staff to promote healing and requires staying current with wound care recommendations and products.
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in Maryland.
- Completion of an accredited WOC Nursing Education Program or Wound Care Certification (WCC).
- Knowledge of wound care recommendations and products.
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of two years (in the past five years) work experience as a RN preferred in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility.
- Experience working in corrections preferred.
Responsibilities
