Child Care Certified Toddler Teacher
About The Position
BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Certified Toddler Teacher in Quincy, Massachusetts. The teacher works alongside other teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The role includes overseeing programs and activities across multiple classrooms, mentoring Teachers and Assistant Teachers, developing curriculum and activities suited to children’s interests and learning styles, and partnering with families on care and education plans. The position pays $21.00–$30.00 and does not require evenings or weekends.
Requirements
- An Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or EEC State of Massachusetts Teacher certification is required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in a licensed child care facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee programs and activities in multiple classrooms.
- Mentor Teachers and Assistant Teachers within the centers.
- Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
- Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
- Partner with families to create plans for the best care and education for their children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
