Full Time Certified Teacher
About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a full-time teacher for the school year at a behavioral health facility in Bangor, Maine. The teacher will provide on-site academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment, in a small classroom setting. Most classes have 8 to 15 students. The position requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The teacher will plan and deliver daily lessons, provide individualized student assistance, communicate about student progress as needed, adapt teaching strategies to support student success, and maintain accurate attendance and session reports. Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
- Maine teaching license.
- Comfort working with K–12 students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
