About The Position

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a PRN Certified Surgical Technologist for its busy multispecialty surgery center serving Northern Suffolk. The center is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI), whose mission is to care for each patient and their family as if they were its own. The Certified Surgical Technologist supports the facility’s mission, vision, and goals; builds effective working relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors; and scrubs for surgical procedures. The role works with leadership to meet facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals. The position is advertised as having no weekends, call, or holidays. USPI develops and operates ambulatory surgical facilities in the U.S. and UK. The company emphasizes high standards of safety and quality and an excellent patient experience.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
Independent decision-making skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as a team player.
Ability to communicate with patients, employees, and medical staff.
Advocate for patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

Scrub for surgical procedures.
Support departmental functions in line with USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals.
