About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health's mobile staffing solution, offering premium compensation and maximum flexibility for experienced Surgical Technologists. This program provides nationwide and regional opportunities for short and long-term assignments. Qualified technologists will float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions. The role involves assessing, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Technologists act independently within their scope of practice, retain accountability for their decisions, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to quality improvement. They must exhibit agility, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.

Requirements

Graduate of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program for Surgical Technologist.
CST certification.
A minimum of 18 months experience is required for CST.
If a Surgical Technologist program has not been completed, due to training on the job or trained in the military – Five (5) years’ work experience is required.
Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
Ability to complete the orientation and training.
