About The Position

The Certified Surgical Technologist supports surgical procedures, Labor & Delivery, and postpartum patient care. The role’s hours are 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The technologist serves as the primary scrub technician during procedures, prepares and maintains sterile instruments and equipment, assists with Labor & Delivery procedures, and provides direct care on the postpartum unit. The role also supports newborn care and nursery operations as needed, maintains operating room readiness and documentation, and follows safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• National Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scrub technician during surgical procedures, anticipating surgeon needs and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Prepare, clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with Labor & Delivery procedures, including sterile setup and instrument processing.
• Provide direct patient care on the postpartum unit, including vital signs, hygiene, mobility assistance, and other daily care needs.
• Support newborn care and nursery operations as needed.
• Maintain operating room cleanliness, equipment readiness, and accurate documentation.
• Follow established safety protocols, infection prevention practices, and quality patient care standards.
• Maintain surgical supplies, inventory, and emergency crash carts.
