About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for an exciting Local or Travel job in Akron, OH. This is a 13-week contract position.

Requirements

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience.
Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

General surgery experience.
Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
Strong understanding of infection prevention and patient safety standards.
Experience working in high-volume operating room environments.

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies.
Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during operations.
Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transportation before and after surgery.
Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support efficient surgical workflows.
Adhere to infection control policies, safety regulations, and hospital protocols.
Document and communicate any equipment or supply issues promptly.
