About The Position
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH) is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join their neurosurgery team. This specialized role involves working consistently with the same surgeons and RNs to become highly skilled in spine and brain surgery. Dedicated neuro-techs will share call responsibilities outside of their usual shift to cover neurosurgical cases during evenings, nights, and weekends, rotating weeks between team members. Other off-shift requirements are not covered by these specialty techs, only neurosurgical cases will require coverage. Additional duties include stocking specialty supplies and updating neurosurgical preference cards.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
- Graduation from a formal accredited surgical technician training program.
- Certified Surgical Tech Certification
Nice To Haves
- Two years surgical technician experience.
Responsibilities
- Specialize as a Certified Surgical Technologist with the neurosurgical team.
- Specialize in spine and brain surgery working alongside the same surgeons and RN’s consistently.
- Take call responsibilities outside of usual shift to cover neurosurgical cases during evenings, nights and weekends.
