About The Position

Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 40-hour rotating position. This role functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures. The hospital is Magnet Designated with Distinction and is a non-profit, community teaching hospital committed to patient care, research, teaching, and community service. They are the first in Massachusetts to use Black Box technology and have 16 ORs with approximately 1,000 cases a month. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Surgical Technician Certification required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
Must present and submit Certification of Graduation from an ARC/STSA-Accredited Surgical Technology Program
NBSTSA- Certification is conferred by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
Staff adheres to all I.C.A.R.E. Standards
Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

1 year of Surgical Technician experience preferred

Responsibilities

Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures
Participate in ongoing educational and competency activities
Precept staff to the surgical technician job duties, including surgical technicians, nurses and students
