About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role to assist during surgical procedures performed in the department. The position is per diem and on the day shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Surgical Technology certification.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and set up equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases.
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Pull cases as needed and break down cases after procedures.
• Set up the operating room and supplies needed for the day’s or following day’s schedule.
• Be available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
