About The Position

The Certified Surgical Tech demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department.

Requirements

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Surgical Technology certification.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies for assigned cases.
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Pull cases as needed and break down cases at the end of procedures.
• Set up the operating room and supplies needed for the day's and following day's schedules.
• Be available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
