About The Position
This role is for a Certified Surgical Tech in the Operating Room at Ascension St. John Jenks. The position is full-time, working day shifts, Mondays through Fridays only, with three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm. The specific days will be determined.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surgical suites with sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation.
- Provide surgeons with necessary instruments and supplies in real-time during operations.
- Position and drape patients, ensuring their safety and dignity.
- Monitor and track instrument counts and organization throughout surgery.
