About The Position

This role is in the Operating Room at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Multiple full-time day shifts are available, including four 10-hour shifts (days TBD, 6:30 am-5:00 pm), Monday through Friday (6:30 am-3:00 pm), or three 12-hour shifts (days TBD, 6:30 am-7:00 pm). Call is required, and the ability to work occasional nights, weekends, or holidays is necessary.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
• Surgical Tech credential from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date OR Surgical Tech credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical suites with sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation.
• Provide surgeons with necessary instruments and supplies during operations.
• Position and drape patients, prioritizing their safety and dignity.
• Monitor and track instrument counts and organization throughout surgery.
