About The Position

Western Carolina Surgery Center is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Tech (CST). The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence as a member of the surgical team. The role maintains a sterile field during procedures and prepares related supplies, instruments, and equipment. The CST supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals and participates in quality improvement activities. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is mentioned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by the state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions when needed.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
