About The Position

HCA Florida West Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to support patient safety and surgical care. The technician ensures instruments and supplies are clean, prepared, and ready for use. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., with rotating weekend call.

Requirements

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).

Responsibilities

• Clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays; ensure they are sterile, complete, labeled, and ready for use.
• Manage sterilization equipment and maintain accurate records to support patient safety and infection prevention.
• Prepare customized surgical sets and case carts based on daily schedules and procedure needs.
• Manage inventory and supplies in OR storage and specialty lockers, coordinating with the surgical team.
• Respond promptly to instrument requests during surgeries and help resolve urgent equipment needs.
