Certified Sterile Processing Technician
About The Position
AMSURG is seeking a full-time Certified Sterile Processing Technician to work Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The technician works cooperatively with staff and physicians and performs a variety of sterile processing tasks in a fast-paced environment supporting patient care. The role includes delivering sterile supplies, retrieving contaminated supplies, cleaning instruments and equipment, testing sterilizing equipment and instruments and reporting problems, and maintaining records of items cleaned and sterilized. Applicants must be sterile processing certified and pass a background check and drug screen. AMSURG requires new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- Sterile processing certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong moral and ethical character references.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Energetic, positive, and a strong team player.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment.
