About The Position

The Certified and Master Certified Service Technician services and repairs vehicles according to established standards and procedures. The role may also include conducting pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure they are in excellent working order. The technician delivers high-quality service while maintaining customer satisfaction. Additional duties may be required on a routine basis; the description is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Professional and dependable demeanor.
• Safety- and customer-service-oriented approach.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Master Certified Technicians should have dealer-level or large-facility experience.
• Master Certified Technicians must have a high level of automotive mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Strong technical performance record, physical dexterity, and stamina.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and deliver customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Some post-secondary automotive training.
• Experience as a Service Technician.
• Additional certifications, such as ASE certification.
• Entry-level technician candidates may have work experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues based on experience, analysis, and testing.
• Maintain the highest possible level of training (Master Certified Technician).
• Keep vehicles clean while performing service or repairs.
• Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and support efficient shop operations, including inventory stocking and other general functions.
• Follow shop policies, procedures, safety rules, and environmental rules.
• Attend required staff meetings, training, and educational classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles.
