About The Position

The Certified and Master Certified Service Technician services and repairs vehicles according to established standards and procedures. The technician may also perform pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure they are in excellent working order for customers. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service and maintaining customer satisfaction. Additional duties may be assigned routinely, and the listed responsibilities are not exhaustive.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Professional and dependable.
• Safety- and customer-service-oriented.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Master Certified Technicians should have dealer-level or large-facility experience.
• Master Certified Technicians must have a high level of automotive mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Nice To Haves

• Some post-secondary automotive training.
• ASE or other additional certifications.
• Experience as a Service Technician.
• Strong technical performance record.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to deliver world-class customer service.
• Entry-level technicians may have work experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle issues using experience, analysis, and testing.
• Maintain the highest possible level of training as a Master Certified Technician.
• Keep vehicles clean while performing service or repairs.
• Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and support efficient shop operations, including inventory stocking and other general functions.
• Follow shop policies, procedures, safety rules, and environmental rules.
• Attend required staff meetings, training, and educational classes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
