About The Position

US Anesthesia Partners North Florida is hiring full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants to provide adult anesthesia services at Baptist Hospital Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Hospital Medical Center South, Baptist Hospital Medical Center Beaches, and Baptist Medical Center Clay in the Jacksonville, Florida area. Anesthetists work across a wide scope of cases, excluding pediatrics. Opportunities to provide obstetric and cardiothoracic anesthesia are available for those interested. The role includes general, orthopedic, gynecologic, and neurosurgical anesthesia, including spine surgery, stroke interventions, aneurysm coiling, craniotomies, and open neurovascular procedures. Supervision ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4. Regional blockade proficiency is not required, but anesthetists perform spinal anesthesia and arterial lines. Weekday and weekend call is required, though infrequent and taken from home by beeper. Shifts include options such as 13-hour, 12/8-hour, 10-hour, and 24/8-hour schedules. The practice supports several Baptist Medical Center locations with varied surgical services and case volumes. Jacksonville’s main hospital has 35 operating suites and performs a broad range of surgical specialties, including cardiac, neurovascular, and cancer procedures. Other locations provide full-service operating rooms, with South and Beaches focused on high-volume, lower-acuity cases; Clay serves surrounding communities with a broad range of health care services. US Anesthesia Partners is a network of local anesthesia practices supported nationally. Its Care Team model and local and national CRNA advisory councils and leadership are intended to support high-quality care and give CRNAs a voice in the organization.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services for adult cases across the covered Baptist Medical Center facilities; pediatric cases are excluded.
Provide anesthesia for general, orthopedic, gynecologic, and neurosurgical procedures, including spine surgery, stroke interventions, aneurysm coiling, craniotomies, and open neurovascular procedures.
Perform spinal anesthesia and arterial lines.
Provide obstetric and cardiothoracic anesthesia if interested.
Participate in infrequent weekday and weekend call from home by beeper.
