About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare is hiring a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Central Maine Medical Center, with the option to work at locations in Lewiston, Rumford, and Bridgton, Maine. The role offers a team-based practice environment with experienced anesthesia staff, a balanced case mix and minimal high-acuity trauma. CRNAs have autonomy within a supportive professional environment and access to state-of-the-art operating room suites and anesthesia equipment. Schedules are full-time and may include flexible 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts depending on operating room needs; the listed shift is variable. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Board certified by the NBCRNA.
- Active or eligible for Maine RN/APRN licensure.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based care model.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for general, orthopedic, GI, OB, urology, and other surgical procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide intraoperative anesthesia management and post-anesthesia recovery care.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Comply with hospital, state, and federal safety and quality standards.
