About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care in its Red Wing practice. The role offers a broad clinical practice across inpatient and outpatient settings, with opportunities to provide care across a wide range of specialties and case types. CRNAs have independent practice opportunities, including placing peripheral nerve blocks and administering spinal and epidural anesthetics, and are responsible for the obstetric practice in Red Wing.

The anesthesia practice is expanding its specialty service lines and care teams, offering opportunities for clinical growth, developing expertise, contributing to practice development, and helping shape the department. The position is part of a collaborative anesthesia team and emphasizes patient-first care, teamwork, communication, professionalism, and mutual respect.

Scheduling options include 8- and 10-hour shifts, with scheduling managed through QGenda. The daily site schedule rotates among the core sites of Red Wing, Cannon Falls, and Lake City. There is potential or expectation to rotate to other non-core Minnesota operating and procedural sites as needed. Mayo Clinic provides education and in-service opportunities to support re-licensure and professional development.

The position offers a $30,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for qualifying candidates. Mortgage financing with no down payment is available through the Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union.

Requirements

• Registered nurse who has completed a formal nurse anesthesia program.
• Master’s degree required.
• Credentialing by an applicable Mayo Clinic legal entity required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Doctoral degree (DNP, DNAP, DrAP, or PhD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care in inpatient and outpatient settings across a broad range of specialties and case types.
• Place peripheral nerve blocks and administer spinal and epidural anesthetics as part of independent practice opportunities.
• Provide care for the obstetric practice in Red Wing.
• Collaborate with the anesthesia care team to plan and deliver patient care.
• Participate in a rotating daily site schedule among Red Wing, Cannon Falls, and Lake City, with potential or expectation to rotate to other Minnesota operating and procedural sites as needed.
• Contribute to practice development and the growth of specialty service lines and dedicated care teams.
