About The Position

GOLFTEC is hiring a Certified Personal Coach for its Houston Galleria location. The coach joins a community of golf industry professionals working to help people play better golf. Coaches complete GOLFTEC University (GTU), a comprehensive training program that combines on-the-job training at a GOLFTEC Center with in-person training at GOLFTEC headquarters in the Denver Metro Area. GTU provides instruction from experienced golf instructors and supports career development in golf. The role is suited to someone passionate about teaching golf, motivated to succeed as part of a team, and interested in using golf technology. Compensation includes a base hourly rate, monthly commissions, bonus opportunities, and other performance-based components. Estimated total compensation is $55,000–$70,000. A $1,000 signing bonus is paid upon completion of GOLFTEC University.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate in a professional, team-based environment.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods and lift items weighing more than 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of experience in golf instruction or club fitting is preferred.
Prior knowledge of golf swing mechanics is highly preferred.
Affiliation with the PGA or LPGA is a plus.
Graduation from a PGM program is a plus.

Responsibilities

Graduate from GOLFTEC University, GOLFTEC’s comprehensive training program.
Use golf technology to help students improve their game.
Recommend teaching content to support customized lesson plans for students of varying skill levels.
Provide GOLFTEC services, including TECFIT club fitting, outdoor playing lessons, and short-game lessons.
Create a high-level experience for students inside and outside training bays.
Use GOLFTEC proprietary technology, including Optimotion and TECSWING teaching software.
Maintain the Training Center environment, equipment, and technology.
Perform daily opening and closing functions for the Training Center.
Participate in continuing education, including distance learning and seminars.
