About The Position

The Personal Stylist Support employee assists customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while providing excellent customer service. The role keeps service quick and welcoming by listening to customer needs and sharing fashion knowledge, and supports a clean, organized, and stocked department. The employee stays informed about fashion trends and products, shares information about store events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program, and may support other store areas such as order fulfillment and order pick-up. This is a seasonal role at the Houston Galleria. The listed pay range is $16.60–$17.30 per hour; offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Requirements

Ability to remain in continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions.
Provide excellent customer service by listening to customer needs and sharing fashion knowledge.
Keep the department ready for customers by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
Stay current on key fashion trends and products to help customers make purchase decisions.
Tell customers about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Provide flexible support to other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
