About The Position

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to support the multidisciplinary healthcare team and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. The Surgical Technician works collaboratively under the direction of the registered nurse and surgeon during surgical procedures. The hospital is a 404-bed tertiary care hospital, an accredited Level II Trauma Center, and a teaching hospital in collaboration with UCF College of Medicine.

Requirements

• Graduation from a Surgical Technician program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or BCLS Instructor certification, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Surgical Technologist certification is required: Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).

Nice To Haves

• Previous scrubbing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties for various surgical procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments, and supplies needed for surgical cases.
• Communicate and participate in patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN.
