Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • Ability to float between all four ACHS locations
  • Proficiency in EMR systems
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
  • Understanding of scope of practice for CMAs
  • Basic computer skills for administrative tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with ACO activities
  • Experience with inventory management and supply coordination

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and obtain medical histories
  • Measure and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, height, and weight in the EMR
  • Prepare, clean, and stock examination rooms
  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Drape patients and position instruments and equipment appropriately
  • Operate EKG and other routine diagnostic equipment
  • Perform venipunctures, injections, ear lavage, routine lab testing, and other CMA-appropriate procedures
  • Schedule diagnostic testing and communicate with external facilities as needed
  • Collect, document, and relay patient information using approved computerized templates
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and scope of practice
  • Attend and participate in staff and team meetings
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned based on licensure and certification
  • Provide general administrative support to the Clinical Leadership team, including: Maintaining files and documentation, Data collection, tracking, and organization, Assisting with general office management needs
  • Assist the Senior Manager of Clinical Services with: Coordination and monitoring of clinic supplies, Inventory management of medical supplies and equipment, Tracking usage trends and assisting with restocking processes
  • Support Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives by: Assisting with data collection and reporting, Supporting quality audits and chart reviews, Participating in projects designed to improve patient outcomes and care processes
  • Provide administrative support for ACHS Accountable Care Organization (ACO) activities and other organizational committees, including meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up tasks
  • Assist with scheduling, insurance forms, referrals, and other clerical duties as needed
  • Contribute to ACHS’s culture of continuous quality improvement and organizational success through collaboration and engagement
  • Other duties, hours, and ACHS site placement may be assigned
