About The Position

Baptist Medical Center is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Acute Care Rehab team in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position located at Baptist Medical Center (Downtown). The hiring team expects that this position will maintain a Day shift schedule. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will support the Rehab Services team by working with a multidisciplinary team in an acute care setting. Caseload includes various diagnoses - neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and general medical. The ideal candidate would have experience in an acute care setting. Requirements

Associate degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy Assistant
Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant from FL Department of Health
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist, provides occupational therapy services to patients in order to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
Participate in mandatory education and licensure requirements.
