About The Position
Newberry Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), as needed, to join their exceptional team. Located in Newberry County, SC, Newberry Health is a 90-bed, acute care, independent, not-for-profit hospital. The rehab department offers outpatient adult and outpatient pediatric therapy in free-standing clinics. This position is primarily outpatient pediatric therapy based.
Requirements
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of South Carolina.
- BLS certification required, or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a COTA preferred.
- Will consider new graduate.
Responsibilities
- Administers optimal patient care with supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Plans, organizes, and implements an occupational therapy program.
- Provides documentation and treatment for individual patients.
- Ensures all treatment media, approaches, and techniques are appropriate and specific to the population served.
