About The Position
CommuniCare Rehab, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, has a PRN opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Greenfield Healthcare Center. Therapists are in-house team members, providing an opportunity to make a direct impact on residents through therapy. The role may include treating at multiple locations to serve the diverse needs of residents. CommuniCare is a rapidly growing company with 170 centers across IN, MD, MO, OH, PA, VA, and WV.
Requirements
- Complete Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant education through an accredited two-year associate degree program.
- Hold a valid or pending State Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
Responsibilities
- Help clients improve their quality of life by helping them compensate for limitations, including supporting injured workers in improving motor skills and returning to the labor force, and teaching people with learning disabilities to prepare meals or use public transportation to increase independence.
- Implement treatment plans through direct treatment and collaboration with an Occupational Therapist; educate treatment staff and other team members involved in the treatment plan; and provide family consultation and training.
- Comply with rehabilitation department and facility documentation requirements under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Treat at multiple locations as needed to serve residents’ diverse needs.
