About The Position
Preferred Therapy Solutions is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for its sub-acute/skilled nursing rehabilitation department in Rockland, Maine. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on or relocation bonus and is based in a newly built skilled nursing facility specializing in post-acute rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care. The facility has private rooms, ocean views, and a close-knit rehabilitation team. The assistant provides individualized therapy to residents with diverse medical diagnoses, including people recovering from illness or surgery, long-term residents, and residents with memory care needs. The role works collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and rehabilitation professionals to support residents' quality of life and independence. Preferred Therapy Solutions describes its approach as patient-first, with an emphasis on appropriate and ethical care, clinical education, mentorship, and compassionate service.
Requirements
- Have a current Occupational Therapy Assistant license or be license-eligible to practice in the state of employment.
- Demonstrate strong computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and experience with electronic documentation.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and timeliness with documentation.
- Work well with others in a team setting.
- Be flexible with hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate therapy services in a sub-acute/skilled nursing facility setting.
- Work collaboratively with other rehabilitation therapists and nursing staff in a supportive team environment.
- Provide individualized therapy services to residents with diverse medical diagnoses.
