About The Position
Post Rehabilitation Services is hiring a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Maple Leaf, a skilled nursing setting in Manchester, New Hampshire. The COTA supports residents as they regain everyday abilities by delivering practical activities and individualized instruction under the supervising Occupational Therapist’s plan of care. The role includes helping residents practice activities of daily living, guiding prescribed exercises and activities, reinforcing adaptive equipment use, documenting treatment, and coordinating with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues.
Requirements
- Active New Hampshire Occupational Therapy Assistant license and COTA certification.
- Ability to carry out individualized treatment plans and follow resident-specific precautions.
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
- Deliver planned occupational therapy interventions that support each resident’s daily living goals.
- Help residents practice dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting, providing appropriate assistance and cueing.
- Guide prescribed activities to strengthen upper-extremity function, coordination, and tolerance for daily tasks.
- Reinforce adaptive equipment use and techniques that make routines safer and more manageable.
- Keep the supervising Occupational Therapist informed of resident progress, treatment responses, and changes in assistance needs.
- Document therapy sessions promptly.
- Coordinate with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues to encourage consistent use of therapy strategies.
