About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join their IP Therapy Department at the Galion location. The COTA will be responsible for providing and administering specific occupational therapy treatments under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role involves assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) training and therapeutic activities to help patients restore function, prevent disability, and reach their maximum performance level within their capabilities following injury, disease, or physical disability.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Licensure by the State of Ohio.
Current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

Provision and administration of specific occupational therapy treatments only under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Assisting with ADL training and therapeutic activities in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
Assisting patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
